Kagerou Densetsu is a classic role-playing game (RPG) released on the NES system in 1990, developed by Kemco. The gameplay of Kagerou Densetsu adheres to the traditional RPG formula. Character progression is a crucial part of Kagerou Densetsu. Upon winning battles, characters will receive experience points (EXP) and gold. When enough EXP is accumulated, characters will level up, enhancing their basic stats and sometimes learning new spells or skills. Gold is used to purchase stronger equipment such as weapons, armor, and accessories, which boost the party's power and survivability. Players can also find rare equipment in dungeons or from powerful enemies.
The game's graphics feature the characteristic pixel art style of the NES, with detailed character sprites and environments.
