Image Fight (USA)

In Image Fight, players pilot an advanced combat spacecraft, tasked with annihilating the invading alien forces known as Yuni. This is a fast-paced and notoriously difficult vertical-scrolling shoot-'em-up.

The primary objective of each stage is to survive waves of enemy attacks and defeat the end-of-stage boss. Your spacecraft can collect power-ups to upgrade its firepower and defensive capabilities. Main weapon types include forward-firing guns, side-firing guns, and rear-firing guns, allowing players to strategize how to deal with enemies approaching from all directions.

A unique feature of Image Fight is the "Pod" system. These Pods are small devices that can be attached to your spacecraft, providing additional firepower and whose firing direction can be adjusted. Players can also change the speed of their spacecraft, which is crucial for dodging bullets and navigating tight spaces.

The game features five main stages, each culminating in a challenging boss battle. After completing the first five stages, players must pass a simulation test to prove their competence. Failure means restarting from Stage 1. Success leads to subsequent stages, with significantly increased difficulty. Managing Pods and selecting appropriate weapons for each situation is key to success in Image Fight.
