Introduce

Heavy Shreddin' is a snowboarding game released for the NES. The game puts players in the role of a professional snowboarder, aiming to conquer steep mountain slopes, perform spectacular tricks, and achieve the highest score.

In Heavy Shreddin', players control their character as they shred downhill at high speeds. The screen scrolls vertically, and your task is to avoid obstacles appearing on the path such as trees, rocks, or other snowboarders. The game emphasizes both speed and the skill of performing stunts (tricks).

To perform tricks, players need to time their jumps off ledges, ramps, or other launch points and then press the appropriate control buttons to execute moves like grabs (holding the board), spins (rotating in mid-air), or even flips (somersaults). Each successful trick earns points, and combining multiple tricks or performing them smoothly will significantly increase bonus points.

The game features various slopes, each with its unique terrain and difficulty level. Some courses are designed to test the player's speed, requiring precise control to find the optimal path, while others offer numerous opportunities to showcase your tricks. The final score is calculated based on the distance covered, completion time, and especially the total points from the tricks you've performed.

The main objective for players is to complete each race in the fastest possible time while still accumulating a high score from performances. Colliding with obstacles will reduce your speed or cause you to lose points. With graphics and sound typical of the NES, Heavy Shreddin' delivers the thrill of snowboarding right on your TV screen.
