Introduce

In The Goonies (Japanese version) for the NES, players take on the role of Mikey, the courageous boy from the Goonies group. Your primary mission is to rescue the other Goonies members who are imprisoned by the criminal Fratelli family within a vast and treacherous cave system. The game is a side-scrolling platformer with elements of adventure and light puzzle-solving.

Each stage requires Mikey to find and rescue a Goonie member locked in a cage. To do this, you need to collect a specific number of keys (usually three) scattered throughout the screen. These keys are often hidden within destructible walls or objects. Mikey can utilize items such as bombs to break through brick blocks, creating new paths or revealing secrets.

During his exploration, Mikey will encounter various enemies, including members of the Fratelli family, bats, rats, spiders, and other creatures. Mikey can defend himself by using a slingshot or by jumping on enemies' heads to defeat them. Additionally, you can collect other helpful items like candles to illuminate dark areas, armor to increase defense, or sneakers to boost movement speed.

The levels are intricately designed with multiple floors and hidden passages. Players must skillfully jump over obstacles, avoid traps, and find the optimal path. Occasionally, you will encounter small puzzles that require using the correct item or finding the right switch to unlock the next area. The ultimate goal is to rescue all the Goonies and discover One-Eyed Willy's legendary treasure.

The Goonies NES (Japan) is a challenging game that demands patience and skill. With its distinctive 8-bit graphics and engaging music, the game offers a nostalgic experience for fans of the movie and classic games.
