GI Joe - The Atlantis Factor (USA)

In GI Joe - The Atlantis Factor, players control an elite team of GI Joe operatives to combat the terrorist organization Cobra, led by Cobra Commander. The game is a side-scrolling action title with adventure elements.

Initially, you start with Duke and can rescue other GI Joe members such as Snake Eyes, Roadblock, Wet-Suit, and Capt. Grid-Iron. Each character possesses unique weapons and special abilities, offering diverse gameplay. For instance, Duke uses a standard assault rifle, Snake Eyes has a sword and close-quarters combat skills, Roadblock wields a heavy machine gun, Wet-Suit specializes in underwater missions, and Capt. Grid-Iron carries a powerful grenade launcher. Players can switch between rescued characters to suit specific situations within the levels.

The game features an overworld map, allowing players to select different missions and explore diverse environments ranging from jungles, deserts, and the Arctic to underwater bases and even the mysterious city of Atlantis. Each level is designed with various obstacles and enemies, from regular Cobra soldiers to combat vehicles like tanks, planes, and robots. At the end of each stage, players will face a powerful Cobra boss, requiring strategy and skill to defeat.

Throughout the game, players can collect support items such as health packs for recovery, ammunition, and temporary weapon upgrades. The main objective is to thwart Cobra's plot to use the "Atlantis Factor" – a powerful ancient technology – to dominate the world.
