Introduce

**Geimos** is a classic vertical scrolling shooter developed by ASCII and released for the NES in 1986. In **Geimos**, players control an advanced spacecraft, with the primary mission of flying through stages filled with alien enemies and destroying them to protect the galaxy.

The gameplay mechanics of **Geimos** are quite familiar to shmup enthusiasts. The player's spaceship automatically moves upwards on the screen, while the player controls the spaceship's horizontal and vertical movement to dodge bullets and obstacles. Button A is used for standard firing, while Button B can be used for a special weapon or to activate accompanying "options" (bits).

A highlight of **Geimos** lies in its diverse power-up system. Throughout the game, players will collect power-up icons from destroyed enemies or special objects. These icons can include Speed Up to increase the spaceship's movement speed, making dodging easier; or various Weapon Upgrades to change or enhance the type of shot, such as a Spread Shot, a powerful Laser Beam, or other directional shots. Additionally, players can collect Option/Bit, which are small satellites that fly alongside the main spaceship, firing parallel to it and significantly boosting firepower. Players can collect multiple "options" to create a powerful barrage.

Each stage in **Geimos** is uniquely designed with different types of enemies, from small formations of ships to larger battleships capable of firing complex bullet patterns. At the end of each stage, players will face a gigantic boss, requiring patience, good dodging skills, and effective use of weapon upgrades to defeat. Destroying enemies yields points, and players will strive for the highest score. The game has a limited number of lives; if all lives are lost, the game ends.

With its characteristic 8-bit NES graphics and engaging sound, **Geimos** delivers a challenging and captivating arcade shooting experience, suitable for those who enjoy games requiring quick reflexes and strategic thinking in choosing upgrades.
