In Flipull, players control a small character navigating a screen filled with various colored blocks. The primary objective is to clear all blocks from the screen to advance to the next level.
Flipull's unique gameplay revolves around its block-throwing and collection mechanics. Your character can throw a block from their current position in one of four directions (up, down, left, right). When thrown, the block travels until it hits another block or the edge of the screen. If the thrown block hits a block of the same type, both blocks disappear from the screen. This is the primary way to clear levels.
However, if the thrown block hits a block of a different type, the thrown block is added to your inventory. This inventory has a limited capacity. If you accumulate too many blocks (typically four), the game ends. This forces players to carefully consider each throw and strategize to avoid collecting unwanted blocks.
Beyond standard blocks, Flipull introduces special block types. For instance, there are star blocks that can match with any other block type, offering a way out of tricky situations. There are also bomb blocks that can clear a surrounding area when triggered. Effectively utilizing these special blocks is key to overcoming more complex stages.
Each level in Flipull is designed with a different block layout, requiring players to constantly adapt their strategies. The pressure of time and the limited block inventory create a challenging and engaging puzzle experience where planning skills and quick reflexes are crucial.
