Introduce

F-117A Stealth Fighter is one of the rare and unique combat flight simulators available on the NES console. Players take control of the iconic F-117A Nighthawk stealth aircraft, embarking on perilous missions across various global hotspots.

Before each mission, you'll select an operational theater such as Libya, the Persian Gulf, Cuba, or North Korea. A mission briefing then provides vital information about your targets, weather conditions, and enemy threats. Crucially, you must choose appropriate weaponry, including bombs and missiles, to load onto your aircraft.

The core gameplay unfolds from the cockpit view, displaying essential information like altitude, speed, heading, fuel levels, and weapon status. You'll utilize your radar to track both ground targets and aerial threats. The stealth aspect of the F-117A is emphasized, requiring players to fly low or deploy countermeasures to evade enemy radar detection.

Upon approaching your target, precise aiming is necessary to deploy bombs on structures or fire missiles to neutralize enemy aircraft. While not a typical dogfighting game, players may still encounter and need to engage enemy fighters. Damage can be sustained, affecting your aircraft's performance.

After successfully completing your objectives and evading anti-aircraft fire, the final task is to return to base and execute a safe landing. Landing requires skill and precision, as a botched attempt can damage your aircraft or result in mission failure. The game focuses heavily on strategic planning, patience, and methodical execution rather than fast-paced arcade action.
