Introduce

Duck Hunt is a classic shooting game for the NES, widely known for its use of the Zapper light gun accessory. The primary objective for players is to shoot down flying ducks that appear on the screen.

The game features two main modes: "Game A" (where one duck appears at a time) and "Game B" (where two ducks appear simultaneously). In each round, players are given a limited number of shots (typically three) to hit the ducks. If a player misses all ducks in a round or runs out of ammunition without downing the required number of ducks, the game ends.

Upon successfully shooting a duck, a hunting dog appears to retrieve it. However, if the player misses both ducks in a wave, the dog will appear and famously laugh at the player, which has become an iconic and often frustrating element of the game. Points are awarded based on the number of ducks successfully shot. Duck Hunt demands precision and quick reflexes, offering a simple yet addictive entertainment experience for generations of gamers.
