Dragon Ball Z - Kyoushuu! Saiya Jin is a unique role-playing game (RPG) on the NES system, immersing players in the captivating storyline of the legendary Saiyan Saga. The game combines adventure elements on a world map with an innovative card-based combat system.

Players will navigate a vast world map, interacting with key locations and characters from the story. Upon encountering enemies, the game transitions to a turn-based battle screen. The game's distinct feature lies in its card system. Each turn, players draw a certain number of cards from their deck. Each card has two main attributes: a star rating (from 1 to 7) representing attack power, and a Kanji character representing defense power or special effects.

To attack, players select a card. The strength of the attack depends on the star rating on the card. Similarly, when attacked, players can choose a card to defend based on its Kanji. Different Kanji characters provide various effects, from increasing defense, restoring Ki, to dodging attacks. Strategically choosing cards is key to winning battles.

Characters like Goku, Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu will join your party, each with their own HP (Health Points), Ki (Energy), and Battle Power stats. As characters level up, these stats will increase, making them stronger. The game also features story events where players must make choices or complete quests to progress. The ultimate goal is to defeat Vegeta and Nappa, protecting Earth.
