Cycle Race - Road Man is a unique bicycle racing game for the NES system, released by Vic Tokai. Players take on the role of a professional cyclist, aiming to finish first or within a time limit, overcoming rivals and obstacles on the track.

The game utilizes a distinctive perspective, usually from behind the player, but it can change to show the track and opponents. Players need to steer the bicycle by moving left/right to avoid obstacles and other racers. A crucial element in Cycle Race - Road Man is managing the cyclist's stamina. Players cannot continuously pedal at full speed; they must conserve energy, especially when going uphill or accelerating. The stamina bar decreases when pedaling fast and recovers when slowing down.

On the race track, players will face AI opponents, needing to skillfully overtake them. Additionally, various obstacles like potholes, rocks, or other traffic vehicles appear randomly, requiring quick reflexes to dodge. Collisions will reduce speed or even cause the cyclist to fall, wasting precious time.

Wind elements can affect your speed. The terrain is also diverse, from flat roads to uphill and downhill sections, requiring different strategies for adjusting speed and stamina. The "drafting" technique behind opponents can help conserve stamina by utilizing their slipstream. Choosing the right moments to accelerate and decelerate is key to victory. The game is known for its high difficulty, demanding patience and practice to master.
