In Circus Caper, players control a young boy named Tim on his quest to rescue his sister, Judy, who has been kidnapped by the evil clown Mr. Magic. The game is a classic side-scrolling platformer, where Tim must navigate through a series of challenging levels.

Each stage in Circus Caper features a circus-themed or related environment, ranging from inside the big top, a forest, a train ride, and even a mysterious castle.
