Introduce

In Bubble Bobble on NES, players control two adorable dragons, Bub and Bob, through 100 challenging stages. The main objective of each stage is to eliminate all enemies by trapping them in bubbles and then popping them. When enemies are trapped in bubbles, they cannot move or attack. Players can pop bubbles by touching them or by jumping on top of them. After enemies are defeated, they transform into various fruits and items, which players need to collect to accumulate points.

The gameplay mechanics of Bubble Bobble are unique. Bub and Bob can shoot bubbles that can imprison enemies. These bubbles can also be used as platforms to jump to higher positions or overcome obstacles. Skillful use of bubbles is key to overcoming complex stages. The game also features various types of enemies, each with their own movement and attack patterns, requiring players to employ appropriate strategies.

Players can collect various power-up items throughout the game, making the adventure easier. For example, shoes increase movement speed, and candy makes bubbles shoot faster, further, or allows for more bubbles to be shot. Some special items like the umbrella allow skipping levels, the water bottle floods the screen to defeat enemies, or lightning clears all bubbles on the screen. The game encourages two-player cooperative play, creating a more fun and effective experience when working together.

Each stage has a time limit. If players take too long, a "Hurry Up!" message will appear, followed by an invincible ghost (Skel Monsta) that will appear and chase the players, forcing them to act quickly. Bubble Bobble is famous for its 100 diverse stages, secret doors, and dramatic final boss fights. To achieve the true ending of the game, players need to discover and collect all secret items throughout their journey.
