Bonk's Adventure (USA)

In Bonk's Adventure, players control Bonk, a prehistoric caveman with an incredibly hard head. Bonk's main objective is to rescue Princess Za from the tyrannical King Drool. The gameplay centers around traditional platforming mechanics, where players must navigate through various stages filled with obstacles and enemies.

Bonk's primary weapon is his powerful headbutt. Players can headbutt while standing, jumping, or even performing an upside-down spin in the air to attack enemies. The aerial headbutt is particularly effective, allowing Bonk to bounce off enemies or certain surfaces to reach higher areas. Bonk can also cling to walls and ceilings using his teeth, a unique ability that helps him traverse difficult sections.

Throughout the levels, Bonk can collect various types of meat to power up. There are three main types of meat: small, medium, and large. Eating a small piece of meat will restore Bonk's health. Eating a medium piece of meat or two small pieces in a row will transform Bonk into a stronger version of himself, with increased attack power and better resilience. In this state, Bonk can headbutt harder and even crack certain blocks. If Bonk eats a large piece of meat or three small pieces in a row, he becomes temporarily invincible, able to pass through enemies and inflict massive damage.

Players also need to collect smiley face icons to earn points and sometimes unlock secret areas. Each stage is typically divided into several smaller sections, culminating in a boss battle at the end of each world. Boss fights require players to figure out their weaknesses and utilize Bonk's abilities cleverly.
