Introduce
In the NES game Bigfoot, players take on the role of a driver controlling the legendary monster truck, Bigfoot. The primary objective is to win races, earn money, and upgrade your truck to face increasingly difficult challenges.
The gameplay is primarily side-scrolling racing. You will need to maneuver the Bigfoot through various terrains and obstacles such as crushed cars, ramps, muddy pits, and even water puddles. Each race features an opponent, another monster truck with names like Python, Goliath, or Destroyer, and you must finish before them.
Controlling the truck requires skill to perform maneuvers like wheelies to clear obstacles or high jumps for safe landings. Your truck can sustain damage during races, affecting its performance, so it's crucial to pay attention to the status bar.
After each race, if victorious, you will receive prize money. This money can be used to upgrade various parts of your Bigfoot, including the engine, tires, suspension, or armor. Upgrading is vital to compete at higher levels. Occasionally, the game also features bonus stages, such as crushing cars or driving through a special course to earn extra cash.
The game also includes fuel management, requiring players to refuel to continue racing. Bigfoot delivers a unique and challenging monster truck racing experience on the NES.
