Battletoads NES is a side-scrolling beat 'em up video game developed by Rare and published by Tradewest in 1991 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). In Battletoads NES, players control one of three anthropomorphic toad characters: Rash, Zitz, or Pimple (though Pimple is only featured in the story and not playable in the NES single-player mode). Their mission is to rescue Pimple and Princess Angelica from the evil Dark Queen.
