In Monopoly (GB) for GBC, players immerse themselves in the classic board game world. The primary goal is to become the wealthiest player by acquiring, developing, and renting out properties, ultimately driving opponents into bankruptcy.

Gameplay begins with each player receiving starting money and choosing a token to move around the board. Players take turns rolling dice to determine their movement. Landing on an unowned property allows you to purchase it. If you land on an owned property, you must pay rent to its owner.

The game features special squares like "Chance" and "Community Chest," where you draw cards and follow their instructions, which might involve receiving money, paying fines, or moving to another space. The "Go to Jail" square will make you miss turns or pay to get out.

Once you own all properties of a specific color set, you can build houses and hotels to significantly increase rent. Managing finances, negotiating deals with opponents (if multiplayer or simulated AI), and making strategic decisions are key to winning. The GBC version recreates this experience with simplified graphics and sound suitable for the platform, allowing you to enjoy Monopoly anywhere.
