In Medarot 2 - Kabuto Version, players step into the shoes of Ikki Tenryou, a young boy with a passion for battling robots known as Medarots. The game is an RPG (Role-Playing Game) centered around collecting, customizing, and battling with these unique robots.
The core gameplay revolves around turn-based "Robattles." Each Medarot is composed of four main parts: head, arms (left and right), legs, and a central "Medal." Players can customize their Medarots by swapping out various Medaparts acquired from winning battles or purchased from stores. Each part possesses unique stats and skills, allowing for countless strategic combinations.
The Medal is crucial, determining the Medarot's AI type, growth stats, and special abilities. Medals will level up through combat, unlocking new power and capabilities. During battles, players issue commands to their Medarots. The objective is to destroy the opponent's head part or deplete its HP. Other parts of the Medarot can also be destroyed, impacting combat performance.
The story of Medarot 2 - Kabuto Version follows Ikki and his Medarot, Metabee, on their journey to confront the mysterious Roborobo Gang and uncover secrets related to Medarots. Players will explore various locations, interact with characters, complete quests, and participate in Robattle tournaments to become the champion.
