In ET - The Extra-Terrestrial - Digital Companion for Game Boy Color, players take on the role of a companion, caring for the beloved alien creature E.T. This is not a traditional adventure game but rather a virtual pet simulation, focusing on managing and interacting with E.T. in real-time.
Gameplay revolves around fulfilling E.T.'s basic needs. You'll need to ensure E.T. is well-fed by selecting various types of food. E.T.'s health is also a crucial factor; sometimes you'll need to heal E.T. if it falls ill. Furthermore, keeping E.T.'s surroundings clean is also part of your caretaking duties.
To keep E.T. happy and active, players can engage in recreational activities and mini-games. These mini-games not only help increase E.T.'s happiness meter but can also yield rewards or unlock new interactions. E.T. will grow and change its appearance over time based on how you care for it. The primary goal is to keep E.T. healthy, happy, and help it develop to its fullest potential, fostering a special bond between the player and E.T.
