DK Barrels are scattered throughout levels, releasing your partner character if they are lost.

Furthermore, Donkey Kong Land III includes the familiar "Animal Buddies," each offering unique abilities. For instance, Enguarde the swordfish aids in underwater navigation, Squitter the spider can shoot webs and traverse on them, Ellie the elephant can suck up and spray water, and Parry the parallel bird can fly high. These animal friends play a crucial role in solving environmental puzzles and accessing secret areas.
