Introduce

In Bubble Bobble (GB), players control one of two adorable dragons, Bub or Bob (the Game Boy version is primarily single-player). The main objective of each stage is to eliminate all enemies present on the screen. The method of defeating enemies is unique: players blow bubbles to trap them. Once an enemy is encased in a bubble, the player needs to approach it and pop the bubble by touching it or jumping on it. When the bubble bursts, the enemy disappears, leaving behind various fruits or other items to collect, increasing the score.

Levels in Bubble Bobble (GB) are typically single-screen stages, featuring multiple platforms and ledges. Players need to move skillfully to avoid freely moving enemies and find advantageous positions to blow bubbles. There are various types of enemies, each with its own movement and attack patterns. Sometimes, certain enemies will become enraged and turn red, moving faster if the player takes too long in a stage.

Throughout the game, players can pick up power-up items. For instance, shoes increase movement speed, while candy enhances bubble-blowing range or speed. Additionally, there are special bubbles like fire bubbles, water bubbles, or lightning bubbles that can create larger attack effects, helping to clear enemies more efficiently. Finally, after a certain number of stages, players will face boss encounters to progress further in Bub and Bob's quest to rescue their girlfriends.
