Avenging Spirit (GB)

In Avenging Spirit, players assume the role of a ghost, the spirit of a man who was murdered and witnessed his girlfriend being kidnapped by a mysterious organization. Your mission is to rescue her by possessing the bodies of your enemies. Each time you possess an enemy, you gain their unique abilities and attack patterns. For instance, you might transform into a soldier with a gun, a wizard casting spells, or a close-combat monster. This creates tactical diversity, forcing players to constantly adapt to different enemy types and environments.

If your possessed body is destroyed, your ghost form becomes vulnerable for a short period. You must quickly find and possess another body before your spirit energy depletes, leading to a Game Over. The levels are designed as side-scrolling stages, featuring numerous enemies and obstacles to overcome. Players will collect power-ups along the way to enhance their abilities or restore energy. The ultimate goal is to confront and defeat the boss at the end of each stage to delve deeper into the enemy's base and rescue your girlfriend.
