Mr. Driller 2 is a challenging action-puzzle game on the GBA. Players control Mr. Driller, a helmet-wearing character, digging deep underground by breaking colored blocks. The main objective is to dig as deep as possible, collecting gems and avoiding being crushed by falling debris.

Gameplay revolves around rotating and dropping blocks of earth to create vertical or horizontal lines of the same color. Removing these blocks allows the player to dig deeper. However, players need to manage Mr. Driller's oxygen supply, as it decreases with depth. Running out of oxygen results in Mr. Driller fainting and failing the level.
