In Zombie Raid, players are thrust into a horrifying world ravaged by a zombie apocalypse. This is an arcade light gun shooter where the primary objective is to use the light gun to eliminate countless bloodthirsty zombies and other mutated creatures that appear on screen. The game features a first-person perspective, directly immersing players into the intense action.
Each stage in Zombie Raid takes players through various locations such as ruined cities, gloomy cemeteries, or secret laboratories. Your mission isn't just to shoot down zombies, but also to protect innocent survivors and uncover the secrets behind the outbreak. The game demands quick reflexes and high accuracy from players to dodge attacks and aim for enemy weak points.
Throughout the journey, players can find power-ups like medical kits to restore health, or more powerful weapons such as shotguns, machine guns, or even grenades to deal with large numbers of enemies. Notably, the game features a branching paths system, allowing players to choose their direction at certain points, leading to different stages and even different endings, enhancing the game's replayability.
At the end of each stage or significant area, players will face a colossal and terrifying boss, requiring strategy and perseverance to defeat. The game's graphics, despite being released in 1995, still manage to create a gloomy and tense atmosphere, fitting the horror theme.
