**Xain'd Sleena** is a unique arcade action side-scrolling game that puts players in the role of Xain, a brave space marine tasked with rescuing five kidnapped princesses from the evil alien monster Ghadius. The game is set across five different planets, each holding a princess awaiting rescue.

The gameplay of **Xain'd Sleena** features an interesting blend of on-foot combat stages and vehicle-based stages. In the on-foot stages, Xain moves horizontally, navigating platforming challenges and confronting numerous enemies with his laser gun. Players can collect power-ups to enhance Xain's abilities, including increased movement speed, improved jumping, and especially weapon upgrades. These weapon upgrades include a 3-way shot, a powerful laser beam, and a flamethrower, providing variety in combat approaches. At the end of each on-foot stage, Xain must face a formidable boss.

Conversely, the vehicle stages transform **Xain'd Sleena** into a scrolling shooter (shoot-'em-up). Xain pilots a spaceship, dodging and destroying waves of incoming enemies. These stages demand quick reflexes and good spatial awareness. Similar to the on-foot stages, each vehicle stage also culminates in an intense boss battle.

A distinctive feature of **Xain'd Sleena** is that after defeating a planet's boss, players must pilot their spaceship into outer space in a top-down view sequence to travel to the next planet. During this transition, you still encounter flying enemies in space. The game features a health bar and a lives system, and the difficulty progressively increases with each planet, requiring players to adapt and utilize power-ups effectively to complete the rescue mission.
