Turtle Ship (North America)

Turtle Ship is an action-packed vertical scrolling shooter that puts players in command of Korea's legendary warship, the Geobukseon (Turtle Ship). The game is set during a period when Joseon is under attack by Japanese invaders, and your mission is to defend the kingdom.

Players control the Turtle Ship, navigating it vertically across the screen, dodging enemy projectiles, and engaging countless foes. Enemies include various types of warships, aircraft, and other enemy units. A distinctive feature of Turtle Ship is its diverse weapon system. You can collect power-up items to upgrade your firepower, change projectile types, or increase your ship's movement speed.

Weapon types typically include: a main cannon firing straight ahead, and sub-weapons that can fire in different directions or create shields. Additionally, players can utilize limited special attacks or bombs to clear the screen of dense enemy formations or inflict significant damage on bosses.

Each stage in Turtle Ship culminates in a challenging boss battle, requiring players to learn the boss's attack patterns and identify their weaknesses.
