Introduce

In Time Pilot '84, players control an advanced fighter spaceship, soaring through deep space in a continuously vertically scrolling world. Your primary objective is to decimate fleets of enemy vessels and confront massive motherships before they escape the screen. The game features 360-degree free movement within the screen, allowing you to dodge and attack enemies from all directions, while the background constantly scrolls forward, creating a sense of continuous motion through space.

Each level in Time Pilot '84 begins with the player facing various types of enemy ships appearing from all sides. You must use your primary machine gun to shoot them down. Once a sufficient number of enemies are destroyed, a gigantic mothership (boss) will appear. This is where the real challenge begins, as this mothership is heavily armored and often has special attacks or its own escort ships. Players must discover the boss's weak points or continuously fire at it to destroy it before it flies out of the play area. If the boss escapes, you will lose a life.

The game doesn't feature a complex power-up system like some other shooters, but players can collect items dropped by destroyed enemies to increase their score. The difficulty progressively increases through the stages, with more enemy types, faster movements, and tougher motherships. The game's graphics utilize a pseudo-3D vector style, creating an impressive and unique combat environment for its release in 1984. The sound and background music also contribute to the tense and engaging combat atmosphere.
