Thundercade / Twin Formation

Thundercade, also known as Twin Formation, is a classic vertical-scrolling arcade shoot 'em up game. Players take control of a powerful combat spaceship, flying through levels teeming with enemies from both air and ground.

The primary objective is to survive waves of enemy attacks, collect power-up items, and defeat end-of-level bosses. The game supports simultaneous two-player co-op, adding to the teamwork and fun.

The control scheme is straightforward: a joystick for moving the spaceship and two buttons, one for firing the main weapon and one for dropping bombs. The spaceship's main shot can be upgraded by collecting "P" (Power) icons. Each collection enhances your firepower, allowing you to shoot multiple streams of bullets or wider spreads. This is crucial for dealing with the large number of enemies.

Additionally, players can collect "B" (Bomb) icons to increase their bomb stock. Bombs are powerful weapons capable of dealing significant area-of-effect damage, highly useful when dealing with dense groups of enemies or inflicting heavy damage on bosses.

Enemies in Thundercade are diverse, including various types of fighter jets, helicopters, tanks, and anti-aircraft turrets. Each stage culminates in a powerful boss with unique attack patterns, requiring players to employ strategic dodging and attacking. The game is renowned for its high difficulty and fast pace, providing a continuous challenge for players.
