The core gameplay of Neo Turf Masters revolves around a simple yet highly precise shot-taking system. Players execute a shot by pressing a button twice: the first press determines the power of the swing, and the second press determines its accuracy. A fast-moving meter requires precise timing to achieve a perfect shot. Additionally, the game allows players to adjust the spin of the ball (topspin or backspin) to control its trajectory and landing point, a crucial factor when dealing with sloped terrain or strong winds.
Wind is a significantly influential factor in Neo Turf Masters. Its direction and speed are clearly displayed, forcing players to calculate and adjust their aim and power accordingly to prevent the ball from veering off target. Furthermore, reading the course terrain and avoiding obstacles like sand traps, water hazards, trees, or tall grass areas is an essential part of the strategy.
